This morning, my high school friends Beth, Gyn and I were setting a date for an overnight stay at Manila Penn. Gyn and Beth had gotten membership/privilege cards which they wanted to maximize. Gyn was trying to contact Shelanie to ask if the date we chose was ok with her and turns out she had the same card, too—sold by the same person. Apparently, the sales rep, Inigo, managed to convince them after calling them up on their mobiles and telling them about the perks for an hour.
Can’t blame them. Inigo called me too back in 2006, few weeks before I left for Singapore. The conversation took around an hour but I didn’t really see the point of getting one because I was going relocating in a few weeks, so I simply told him, “I really don’t think it’s worth it.”
